Campmeeting 2007
August 31 – September 2, 2007 (Labor
Day weekend)

To Our Brothers
and Sisters in Christ:
Greetings in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Almost for the last ten years we have had camp meeting every
summer. We thanks God for those spiritual filled gatherings. Each
camp meeting has strengthened our brotherhood and friendship among
campers from all the Vietnamese churches.
This year camp meeting will be a little difference than those of
years past. We are inviting friends from all over the world! We
also want to use this opportunity to make this camp meeting a
reunion event for former students of the Saigon Adventist Academy,
former workers of Saigon Adventist Hospital, and former members of
the Vietnam Mission.
Your support for this year's camp meeting has been overwhelmed.
Many have shown your support by early registration, and we have
received many e-mails and phone calls expressing your excitement
about this 2007 camp meeting. Your enthusiasm motivates us
tremendously! We thanks God for your friendship.
With this letter, we are asking for another kind of support. We
are seeking to raise a fund of $3,000. This fund is to pay for the
non-room-and-board and administrative expenses of this camp
meeting. Those expenses are for:
- Camp fee for our brothers and sisters from Vietnam who come to
join us at this camp
- Expenses of printing song books, program bulletins, activities
and games awards, and souvenir pictures
- Thanksgiving gifts to some of our missionaries who will be at
the camp with us, they are those who had spent many years of their
youth serving the Vietnam mission
Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Your donation is a
precious gift to us. May God bless you abundantly.

Dear All Pastors, Brothers and Sisters in
Christ:
On behalf of the 2007 camp meeting organizers, I would like to
send to you our warmest greetings and our best wishes for the
blessings from our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
It has been quite some time since the last reunion when we had had
a chance to meet our brothers and sisters from various Vietnamese
churches. Occasions as such are also times for us to visit, to
share our thoughts and beliefs, and to listen to the messages from
many of our pastors, especially from the senior ones. This year,
the Vietnamese Pastor Association has voted for having a reunion
camp meeting at Alpine Conference Center in Southern California.
Our theme of this year is "Ministry and Service". Our main purpose
is to honor all the pioneer missionaries who had come to Vietnam,
and also the Vietnamese workers who had accepted the callings to
serve God in the mission field of Vietnam. They were people who
helped founded the church in Vietnam and kept it alive through out
the last eight decades and they have served Him in all ministries:
evangelism, education and health care. Our other purpose is to
have a reunion for all alumnis from Co Doc Academy and Elementary
School, the Pathfinders, the Nursing School, and just merely old
time friends. We will have a chance to be together to remind all
of us about the blessings that God has richly given to all of our
Vietnamese churches overseas and in Vietnam itself.
At this camp meeting, we will also share with each other about the
latest good news from our Vietnam Mission of SDA: the Vietnam
government has granted the SDA church the freedom of practice of
our religion in Vietnam. We will also share our plans and goals of
our Vietnamese SDA churches in the USA.
We believe that this is an occasion not only for meeting our old
friends from all over the world, but also for strengthening our
friendship as we remind each other of all the blessings that God
has given us. May God lift up our spirits and continue to
encourage us to answer His call to serve Him and mankind.
Sincerely
yours,
Pastor Nguyen khac Vinh
